In the past few days, I have been looking for somethings cool to
post on my blog while I prepare my stories. If you go on the Internet quite
frequently, you will most likely know about archive.org,
the place to find all sorts of awesome things that are no longer available on
the web. While looking on the Wayback Machine (a.k.a. the thing on archive.org which allows you to travel back
in time to see loads of website screenshots), I found a website entitled “das-entertainment.com.”
After looking at a few more screen dumps, I realised that this website was the
predecessor to bathtub-productions.com,
which was Damien Valentine (a.k.a. Darth Angelus)’s main website before codedtransmission.com and chroniclesofhumanity.com. I managed
to download a few files from here, including the original poster to Damien’s
first part in the four-part machinima series Star Wars: The
Darkness Saga (http://www.das-entertainment.com/gallerythingy/images/poster3.jpg), Falling into Darkness, as well as the original poster for part two (http://www.das-entertainment.com/gallerythingy/images/poster%20by%20nessa.jpg), The Darkness Consumes. After some really good hunting I found a huge collection of short
stories (the stories were: Escape and Discovery, War, Falling into Darkness, The Day I Joined the New Republic, Sacrifice and New Command) which tied into the series,
a large character profile and timeline (https://web.archive.org/web/20080510224613/http://www.bg-hunter.tk/), along with a lot of other things.
What
I was really excited with though were the videos. 4 videos, not available on
YouTube, Vimeo, or any other site for a matter of fact. The four videos were: Battlegroup Hunter, which is a little
bit of an introductory to a small group that Damien was part of, Star Wars: Episode II & III Teaser,
which is a trailer to Star Wars: Episode
II – The Darkness Consumes and Star
Wars: Episode III – Armageddon, Star
Wars: Falling into Darkness Trailer, which was the original trailer to Episode I – Falling into Darkness, and,
the best of them all, Star Wars: Episode
I – Falling into Darkness, which is NOT the 2005 machinima fan film by Bathtub
Productions, this is the original 2-D animated 2002 fan film Falling into Darkness, which is not
available ANYWHERE unless you have the link!
